Rageh Omar, Somalian born ex-BBC correspondent who rose to popularity on the back of his distinguished coverage of Iraq for the BBC, has produced an exceptional documentary on Iran, a country which he calls “the most misunderstood in the world”.
Iran with its proud distinguished history of the Persian empire, an exceptionally large cohort of people under 25, and relatively high education has been primarily showcased in Western news as a uni-dimensional country dominated by fundamentalist Shia clerics.
